Wednesday 10th of January

A weird photo today. I went to the gym after work for the first time since September, fulfilling a New Year's resolution. I wanted to take a photo related to that, to mark the day. I tried taking close-up photos of my gym membership card - under different lighting, different rooms, flash on, flash off... This photo happened by accident, it's overexposed but i love the soft blue colour of the text and the way it's blurred into the white background... choose life.

Tuesday 9th of January

I decided to play around with the Macro setting on my camera. So, today's photo is a close-up of the cotton balls, on two stems i bought from Ikea. I love the contrast between the soft pure white of the cotton and the rough brown leaves.

Monday 8th of January

I met up with some friends for a drink after work tonight, at Damon's Restaurant, an American-themed place. I took this photo when i left and love the way it turned out. I didn't think about it too much, but the composition is pretty good and the lights are highlighted really well.

Sunday 7th of January

I didn't do much today, and the rain outside makes me want to stay in, so i had to look inside for inspiration. I have a few prints on my walls, one of them is of the Sistine Chapel ceiling, Michelangelo's masterpiece. I tilted the camera so it appears as if you're looking up at it. Very appropriate for a Sunday!

Saturday 6th of January

Today is of course twelfth night, so down came the Christmas decorations. Our tree is stripped bare, but the decorations looked really nice all together on the chair - shiny reds and silvers. I took a few photos, trying to find the best angle, getting in amongst the baubles. This is the one i liked the best

Friday 5th of January

Welcome to Blured Eye 365 - my side project to take a photo a day for 365 days... now, i should have started on New Year's Day, but that didn't happen. Instead, i begin from the 5th of January and the first Party of 2007 - the work organised Recognition Event - dinner, drinks and dancing till late.

The photo is of three wine glasses i noticed on our table, all with the same amount in, but with contrasting colours. Drunk, i liked the difference between them. I thought someone had mixed red and white to get the rosé but was later told it was red wine and water... still, if the colour fits...
